I don't know if any of you have read the book (not the movie, it has almost no resemblace to the book--book is much better) but I've been thinking, I wonder what would happen if one of the characters said he couldn't die in the ancient language (you know since if you say it in the ancient language it can't be a lie)?

then would it be possible to say it in the ancient language knowing you're mortal? (i havent read the book)

That's why I'm interested. According to the book, the fact that the words being said don't stop the sayer from saying them, they just become true after being said. (I.E. when he says "brisingr" when there is no fire, fire comes out of nowhere)

I do know that you can't bring someone back to life without killing yourself though.

so then it would be impossible to bring someone back to life after saying it

Either that or you could and you wouldn't die.

This is becoming a quandary: I don't have any idea of what will happen, yet I do.
