i am thinking your putting it in a rustler ,right?
if so that is a wicked fast motor for 1 you will love it
but i would save the cash and buy a OS .18 cvrx ,if i am not mistaken you are only gfaining .3hp but getting the TZ but spending over a 100 more
the cvrx is awsume and very reasonably priced at 89.99 thru tower right now,but it is side exhaust so you will need a different header for it ,and alittle modifiying to the crank

yes for rustler but i want one that i dont have to modify the crank

you will have to look into CVD's the stock slider driveshafts will twist i am sure .
any of the OS .18's are ballisticly fast and torquey other then the cvds i am not sure about anything else
i only ran the 18cvrx on my tmaxx and it tore up the driveshafts easily

.3 more is going by the numbers OS claims.According to the dyno in RCCA the TZ made over ..5 more..And I own both engines and the TZ is a whole lot more engine than the CVR..But for $90 the CVR is hard to beat..

1 the tz is too much power for bashing or racing and dont think ur not cuttin the crank and gettin a traxxas clutch nut either

bottom line TZ is too fast

Thats funny right there! I don't care who you are!

Thats like saying a RB c5bb is too fast for a buggy. Who are you to say what is too fast? The guy wants the fastest engine in his truck. I'd put it in a rusty if I had one.

i did put one in a rustler and it wasn't really useable anymore...went thru tires like butter and flipped more times than i can tell you...its not worth it to put such a nasty fast engine in a older school style truck thats not designed for that much balls

do what you will...i had a TZ in my jato and i got the same result but when i hit second and stayed straight it was nasty fast i also had the TM on the jato and that was crazy too!!!

now I'm planing on racing a tmaxx i got for free so I'm gonna try the tz in that @ the track and see what happens...

just my $.02

tz in my hpi nitro mt!!

yeah i second that i have a TZ in my nitro mt and even richened up it is stupid fast :) i tore up 2 clutch shoes 3 spur gears and broke 1 axle and one new cvd from gpm with this thing not to mention fried 4 2 week old proline road rage II tires to the point of bald ring in the center of the tires about 1 inch wide !!...

If your truck has a weak point this motor WILL find it ... now i love the thing took a while to get everything set up and find out how to use the power to my advantage ...

I want a revo now so i can put it in that !!!!

os. great motors !!:thankyou:
