Engines Dies after taken off starterbox?

I can get my engine to start but as soon as the flywheel leaves the starterbox wheel the engine dies. I have yet to break in this engine and the needles are set to factory settings. Any ideas?

turn the throttle trim up alittle and see if it will keep running?

New engines have really tight sleeves... So increasing the idle like jones said will keep it running long enough to wear it in enough to let it continue running.

I thought that it was that the flywheel is the only thing that is spinning the flywheel and the engine isn't spinning the flywheel itself.

how would the engine start if the engine didnt turn the flywheel?
