Hey

I was wondering if a xtm pro 24.7 engine is a good engine and if it would fit into a T-Maxx with out changing anything. If i do have to change anything what would i have to change and for about how much. I found a xtm pro 24.7 engine for about $ 190. Is that a good deal or not? Also i was wondering what the best hop ups are for bashing and speed.

Thanks
Cody

In order to fit that engine, you need to do a 21 conversion. The engine is to long to fit between the trans and rear shocktower otherwise. A 21 conversion lengthens the truck about an inch or so to give you clearance for the larger engine.

It would probably be cheaper and less hassle to get a 21 mid-block that will bolt right in without the conversion. The cheapest conversion that I know if is XTM's and it's around $100. With that and a 21 engine (minimum of $140) your at $240 and your forced to buy whomevers conversion center cvd's that you used. You can find a mid-block engine designed to bolt into the maxx/revo for around $200 and then you can use all stock or made for stock aftermarket axles/skidplates and whatnot.

The XTM 24.7 pro is a powerful engine. A lot of savage owners use it.

does any one know what the best engine is to put into a T-Maxx without changing the chassis ( doing to .21 conversion) ?????? and also if i put in one of these engines how fast will i go??????

Probably one of the availible mid-block .21 engines would be your best bet. I don't know how fast you would go, but you would be able to gear up a couple teeth, and that would make it go faster for sure.

In my opinion, that is one of the best if you are looking for power and don't have enough money for the conversion. And, the ez start from the stock 2.5 bolts right up to the ofna med block.

Olds97 lss even though this is an old topic i was wondering if anyof the engines you listed above would fit into the (t) without me changing the chassis
