Engine Troubleshooting

I have recently bought a Traxxas Nitro 4tec 3.3

I followed the break in process up until the 4th tank where i was in second gear, full throttle and flipped the car (whoopsies ). it stalled soon after. i went back to start it up and it tries to take off as soon as it starts. with the wheels off the ground it idles high then flattens out in a few seconds. i reset all factory settings with the needles and have changed the idle screw multiple times.

It also stalls when brakes are applied.

Clutch problem? tuning problem?

should i take it into a store?

Clutch maybe, sounds like you know what to look for.

Sounds like the clutch is sticking or the bearings have roasted or the clutch spring has broken causing the shoes to drag even at idle.

It sounds like an air leak. Check all your connections, and check the tank for a crack.
As for stalling when you apply brake, you need to set your trim down to zero and then make the mechanical adjustment to your idle.
