Engine trouble!

Hi guys,

I'm new to this forum but so far it looks great!!

I have a problem with my Hyper 10 engine in that it either wont start at all or only runs with the glow starter attached.

I've been through all the tuning help threads I can find and tried lots of the tips for setting the carb up, all with no luck! I'm starting to think there may be a bigger problem than just the posistions of the needles.

Can anyone suggest what it might be?

Link to the engine. I googled it but I see spare parts for it and pipes but no engine.

if you can't run w/o the ignitor attached then it may be a burnt plug.....even if it's a brany new one I've had them bad right from the box....or I had my low end set too lean and they popped in the first tank of running.....there's threads on reading your plug as well, good stuff to know.....it will help you understand how your engine is running....

I'd suggest trying a new plug. If it doesn't help at all then I'd think your settings are too rich.

I think you may be too rich, since you have to have the ignitor attached it may be cooling off with the large amount of fuel that is going into the engine, try leaning it out a bit (counter clockwise)
