engine still overheating

ok guys this is frustrating i have sealed my nitro engine by following the sticky above but my car still overheats... it is running at around 270-280 just on idle alone. i dont know what else to do... is it just my luck or am i missing something??? :/ i have the traxxas sport trx pro .15

Do you have smoke? You may need to richen it up.

i have set it back to stock settings and there is smoke coming out of the exhaust...smoke seems to be coming out from behind the engine although all sealing has been done

Behind the engine near the exhaust? or the EZ start? I had a trx .15 and the exhaust got loose in the middle of the muffler. It quickly overheated and the piston skirt crumbled. Did you do the soapy water check on it after you sealed it? Check your carb for blockage and also the fuel line and tank for leakage. Also pay attention to the bearings. If they get to leaking too much it'll run lean.

If it gets to that temp at idle, if it isn't a leak the LSN is too lean.

its around the exhaust area yes but i can't see exactly where it is coming out from because its only such a little amount but i should do the soapy water test as i just saw this vid. cheers

If there's smoke coming from anywhere but the stinger, it isn't sealed right. Your lsn is probably lean as Rolex stated as well.
