Ok. Pretty much got my air leak problem licked. Now I'm having other issues.

What would cause an engine stall out when landing a jump? I havent had this problem before but now I am. I'm thinking it may have something to do with the really rough tune I had tonight because I really didnt have the tune down while I was at the track earlier.

Any advice?

is your flywheel protruding from the bottom of the chassie?

You may also want to check your clutch may be time to change the shoes or the bearings

Check your flywheel first, if that extends past the bottom of your chassis it will cause issues. 2nd check your clutch see if it's locked up. 3rd, definitely check the clutch bearings.

So same things listed above. Check them all over...

Idle too low, tune too rich, one of the things these guys said, flywheel/clutch pins protruding out the back of the flywheel and dragging on the crank case... I had that happen once. Was really hard to track it down.

Ok, clutch bell still spins freely, I just replaced the clutch with new shoes, and if its broke It can just wait until I get my new 40mm flywheel and 3shoe clutch. the flywheel doesn't protrude lower than the body, still nice and neat and tucked up inside the bump start hole.

As for the engine mount being broken, it looked fine to me. Id really rather not take the engine apart again at this juncture in time.

I'm going to the track tonight so I should have some time to play with the tune.

In the meantime, I will slowly but surely begin ordering the parts for an E-Slayer conversion! oh yes. Its coming baby!

Figured it out! it wasn't a rough tune, it was my Flywheel clutch pins edging forward so that they would catch on the clutch bell.

doesn't matter too much now though. lol. My TRX 3.3 reached around 425 on my third race. Its done. Toast. And I'm an idiot :)

On the bright side of things, no after run maintenance tonight boys!

Ah. Guess the same occurs when they work themselves forward instead of back.

How the heck did you hit 425? Would like to see what your piston looks like now... or what's left of it! ;)

An experienced 1/8th nitro buggy driver tried to help me save it, but to no avail. Ill prolly pull the engine out tomorrow and disassemble it for kicks. Its not good for anything else really lol.

As for getting that hot, it was during a heat. Towards the end of the heat, it was losing power so someone shot a temp.

But yeah. I'm trying to determine if I should try an OS .21TM or convert to electric.
