engine questions Plzz help very urgent!!

will tower hobbies take back an engine if it is in its own original package ?? What is a pilot shaft and what is the shaft on the wasp.18? Can i change the shaft in the wasp to the 1 out of my old engine? What can i do I'm 14 and I'm parnoid about my parents yelling at me if it doesn't fit!! What do i do? And do u have any recomendations on an engine like a .18 that has a pilot shaft? Oh yeah my engine mount has like a slider thingy on it so i can slide the engine over do you think that will work? How would i go about putting on the clutch? can i put the 1 off of my old engine on it or does it already have1? I dont know what to do I'm so scared my parents are gonna yell at me!! plzz help me

Somehow I got a PM from you. I sure hope in your desperation you didn't PM everyone. Understand that many of us have day jobs and what little time we have after work we might like to be out with the toys and not sitting at the PC (like I am right now) responding to some anxious poster. I read the post and I don't know what he's talking about.

Looks like he's trying to put a crank from a different make engine into a new engine. From what I know, these things aren't really interchangable. Unless you buy a new crank for the Mfr of the engine your working on.

I don't know this for a fact though, but it's like ford vs chevy. A crank out of the ford 302 won't fit into a chevy 305. My guess would be that the same thing applies with these little engines. A tower crank won't fit into a Wasp engine.

You may be able to find an sg crank for the wasp engine that is actually made for the wasp engine.

I don't remember what the sg stands for though, so can't really help you there.

Notice the diff? One is threaded to the end, the other isn't. Not sure what the benifit is, but I think it has to do with engine balance. The sg shaft makes for a smoother balanced engine.

Some standard threaded shafts come long and short. I think the one I posted is a long and the short is about half as long.
