yes, you could as long as the shaft for the clutch bell and stuff is long enough. I think it would work though.

Yes you can. Just make sure you have the correct shaft configuration and is a small block. If I am correct, the shaft of the RC10gt is a short threaded shaft or SG crank.

If the duratrax engine you have is a small block and has an SG crank, you'll be fine. If it's a long shaft, you'll have to get it cut to the length needed.

You just need to transfer the flywheel, collet and clutch assembly on to your duratrax.

The problem that can arise is is one is an sg crank and the other is a threaded shaft. That can be resolved with the purchase of the proper clutchnut.

In a nutshell, yes you can use that engine. Just remember that with an .18, you'll have trouble keeping the front down.

yes, if worse comes to worse, buy the right clutchnut.

Again, like diver said... with a .18 engine, it will be doing wheelies. there is a user here named .21rc10gt, ill pm him to put his input on how is GT acts with a .21 in it.

I really do not think the Duratrax .18 is that powerful. It is almost the same as the stock GT engine, which i can't say is powerless, but it doesn't hold a candle to my .21... :devious: With a larger amount of horsepower, you will have wheelies, powerslides, and less controlable handling... I personally say that my GT is a novelty and not a practicle vehicle, but it is extremely fast and even more fun. Also, remember, with more power, there will be more broken parts.

I've got a Duratrax w/.18 P/S and it doesn't have anywhere near the power of an old OS .12 CZ I have in my RC10GT. Get an OS .12 CV-R or -RX for P/S, They are cheap and have plenty of power for big off road tracks, sometimes too much for small tracks.

The Duratrax clutch is crap too. If anyone has tips on a GOOD replacement clutch setup for an Evader...PLEASE let me know.
