Ok. I was going to get the 24.7 xtm engine but decided to get something that would be legal just in case I decide to race. I have pretty much settled on a RB S5. For life and maintaining a tune. Until I get the money owed to me I was going to get a pipe to use on my force .26. Here is the ?. Would I be better to get a Rb pipe since that is what engine I will end up running or get the jp-1 pipe that I was going to put on the force. Which would be better for which engine? I figured the rb pipe would be best for the rb engine but wasn't sure about putting the rb pipe on the force. Which rb pipe? thanks and I will shut up now.

The RB S5 is very much a different engine from the WS7. For the RB WS7, there is a ton of info about pipe choice and clutch setup. All I really know about the S5 is are the rumors that it has a lot of acceleration but is kind of lacking on top end RPMs. Knowing that, I would guess that maybe a 086 style pipe (OFNA clone is fine) would help it out on the higher RPMs.

If it was me, I'd buy the best pipe for the best engine. If you're looking to run another engine now and maybe a better engine later, invest in a good pipe for the good engine and use it on the not so good engine for now (even if it's not the best match).

The S5 is a pretty uncommon engine. You could ask around locally at your hobby shop. Or if you want online info, search the RB Concept forums. I think there is a link off their main site.

If i were you I would go with the ws7. For about $25 more you going to get a much better engine and a ton of info for it. Just my .02. But either way i think your going to be satisfied with whatever you get. RB makes great products.
