Hey guys , i just found out that my engine mount holes are stripped , 2 out of 4 of them , i guess i would need to get a new one , i was wondering if there are any after market mounts that are more durable , ie: stronger metal or something like that. well let me know .

update : i found some integy engine mounts , are they any good? i know everybody says to stay away from integy but for the mounts,are they that bad?

It depends if you found them at home or in a store. If you have them, by all means use them. Integy tends to use a soft aluminum alloy that just can't stand up to bashing.
If you're in a hurry to get up and running, get them, and you might be pleased. Tighten snugly, use locktite, just be careful not to screw down too tight. That's where you'll start to strip.
 
i checked and they are stripped at the top of the holes , when i put the screws into the hole they drop down a good 2 mm and then start turning, but i will try to snug them down with some loctite and see what gives tomorrow . i just dont want any spur gear soup again!
 
How about some longer bolts?

Threaded all the way through? Bolts went through maybe 1/2" to start with?

no i found it on ebay.and i think i migh try to put longer screws with some washers in between to compensate for the length
 
this happened to me, i still have the same mount, i just used nuts on the back side where i could. yes its a tight fit but it works

not a bad idea , but i find myself to be taking off the engine quit often and that might cause alot of time to take off, I'm going to try longer screws , i fouind one longer screw and it worked , so i just need to find some more
