So I am about to install the new OS 21TM in my Revo but before I do I was hoping to upgrade my stock engine mount to something a little stronger.

I have already bent, broke, and twisted 3 of them with a 2.5 and a 3.3. so I know the extra power of the 21 is going to add that much more stress.

So far I have only been able to find these 3 mounts:

http://www.neweramodels.com/item.cgi?session_id=&part_id=2408
http://www.3racing.com.hk/x_descriptions.jsp?x_products_key=1230
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXLNS5&P=7

I know Integy doesn't have a great track record, and I have never even heard of 3racing. The newera mount looks like it is only the center piece, but I was really hoping to replace the whole assembly.

Does anybody know of any others? If not, which of the three above would you recommend?

Thanks for any help.

Conundrum:
1. A riddle in which a fanciful question is answered by a pun.
2. A paradoxical, insoluble, or difficult problem; a dilemma.

You have a dilemma, but we'll work it through.

Integy is always getting beaten up for their poor parts, but it might only be dissatisfaction with bad piggy back shocks. Any other opinions?

I'd recommend Team GPM parts from rc-mall on Ebay. I've gotten a LOT of alloy parts from them, and they are ROCK SOLID.
Other than that, Tower Hobbies.
You can also check RD Logics parts through Horizon Hobbies.

I have only broke one mount in the 2 years of owning a revo and that was my own stupidity lol(if you throw it 30 feet it tends to break something lol). But you breaking 3 of them, maby your chasis may be bent. Just something to look at.

No, the chassis isn't bent. I just got a brand new one. I broke 2 mounts on the 2.5 chassis and one mount on the new 3.3 chassis.

I know the stock mount "should" be fine and running with a wing (which I do) and leaving the grab bar in (which I do) should help, but I just really want something stronger.

I have never heard of GPM until yesterday, but a couple guys on another forum I visit said they wouldn't touch GPM parts with MY ten foot pole. Just what kind of parts do you have from them?

A-arms, skid plates, wheelie bar, shock absorbers, tank guard, fuel lid, steering blocks, shock towers and maybe a few parts I forgot.
I had to make an adjustment on the tank guard, and it was as bad as trying to work on heavy nickel stainless steel. Again, ROCK solid.
They are glass beaded, and maybe they don't like them because they're not polished.

This is first class machining.
The parts ship direct from Hong Kong.

what about the new guy on the forum, gh racing. do they make an engine mount?

...maybe they don't like them because they're not polished.

I doubt it. Those guys are pretty serious about this stuff. His exact words were;

"The GPM part will either break instantly or it won't even line up in the first place.
Probably the latter."

But you say you have some rock solid parts from them..

lol, still quite the conundrum!

it won't even line up in the first place.
Probably the latter."

Are you kidding me? ALL the parts I added lined up perfectly. I mean perfectly. Machine screws were also included to thread into alloy parts where you swapped out the stock plastic. All 6061 alloy. Notice, also, that the A arms came with nylon bushings.

Well I have no reason to doubt your word, but I have known those other guys for a while and trust them so I have decided not to go with the GPM mount.

lol, maybe if I start making enough money to just try different things.
