hey guys, I got this 1/8 buggy from this kid in a trade. I have no idea what make the buggy is, no mfg marks etc... nada.
the engines in question are both labeled 3.5 1 is F3.5 the other is FC3.5 I am just wondering if I should try for new innards (good word huh?) or... just shoot it

the buggy itself looks like the mating of an inferno and an ultra comp with all the bad habits from both

any help would be greatly apreciated.

Sorry I can't help with the buggy, man. You might want to post this in the 1/8th forum as well. A lot of the buggy guys read that one and know their stuff!

Here is a bigger pic..It needs to be resized..Sorry:opps:

Zander!!! That photo is really butchering this page!

I want to say it's an older OFNA because of the plastic spur... it would make sense if the engine is a Force, they are used by OFNA.

But I checked all their buggies that are currently on their site and didn't see any that came with pink/purple trim... but my guess is that it's an older buggy and their site only shows most of their latest stuff.

Well... I just spent the past 20 minutes looking at the parts list for almost every nitro buggy at tower and I can't find that center diff, servo plate or steering plate... they look pretty unique. The color says HB (like my lightning), but it looks nothing like it.

It has a old "feel" to it though... so I don't know where to look for older models of things.

Oh, and I'm not a real buggy buff...

I also just noticed that the head on your engine doesn't look like the head on the Force 26 I found... Although, that made me think... Hot bodies makes (or labels rather) the PowerHouse 26 that looks exactly like the Force 26. Aside from the side of the engine. http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXFWS1&P=7
With that in mind, and the look/feel of the chassis, it could just be an older Hot bodies rig.
