Wanted to know if you had any suggestions as to which engine I want to replace my worn out collari xs 2200
I have a mbx4 buggy. I want low end, but I want top end more. O and something that will last. I was happy with the collari but I bought the buggy used and probably ran 3 gallons through it. Just took the back of engine off and crank is egg shaped and rod is gone. I would appreaciate any feedback. and maybe a suggestion as to a pipe to go with it.
Thanks

V-Spec will give you a fat top end, but it is not as long lasting as other engines for half the price. Maybe a P5?

Well if you want top end and a reliable mill.I would go with A RB ws711... thats my:2cents:

Good point. We can steer you to many a engine that will do the job you ask, but you have to spend a bit. What budget range are you talking about.

BTW, toss out a question like that and get 100 different answers. No one particular answer is right, just right for some.

Well thanks for the input. But I ended up getting the Collari xs 400 modded by rbmods.
The specs for XS 400 after the engine modification are:
Ports: 5+2 port system
Displacement: 3.5 cc
Horse Power: 3.6 HP
RPM: 51900 RPM
Weight: 340 gr
Bore: 16.45 mm
Stroke: 16.40 mm3.5cc
Paid $400 for it can't wait to get it. :dancin: Anyone got any ideas which pipe I should get for it?

rick would be the best person to answer that, but my guess would be a jp-1 or 2 depending where you want the power to come in. i have seen guys use the jp-2 for the high side power and just tune the clutch for low-end.

that collari is actually an older engine. you should know it was one of the TORQIEST (is that a word, it should be) motors ever made. a top end pipe such as a 086, a JP-2, or a mugen 1005 would be an excellent choice.

I was told from Nitrohouse that is a great engine and to run with the new OFNA PCR 2027

pcr-19789-big.webp

Thanks for the info. By the way, anyone got any suggestions on break-in? I've been told so many different ways. The idle on the box, run it to 200 then let it cool and do it again. I want this engine to last a long time and want to break it in right.

I had one of those, it is still my favourite engine ever.

My current S7 II is only 90% of that engine...the 400 must be awesome.Enjoy.
