Hey guys/gals i have a couple question about my Savage XL 5.9 I bought my Savage about 2 years ago, then I broke something in the engine, tore it apart and ever since then I have been looking for a stronger faster engine then the stock one that comes in the Savage XL 5.9. I went on many forums and read many different people's ideas I heard very good things about the Picco .28, I have been looking for a picco .28 for about 2 months now. Does anyone know where I can find a picco, or does anyone know if there is an engine that is just as good as the Picco .28 I am also looking for a very good pipe to go along with the Picco that will give it tons of power and speed, I've been reading some forums on pipes to and there is a guy named Robin and apparently he makes some very good ERMC pipes, does anyone know if Robin is actually good at making pipes. Thank you very much!

@Tduff,

The Picco .28 is a popular engine as is the LRP ZR .30. We also have several users here that use ERCM pipes from Robin and have even given away one or two here on the forums. Those that run Robin's pipes tend to swear by them.

Both the picco P3 .28, and the picco-boost .28 have been discontinued, you could probably get parts for them for the next couple years through eBay though.

The P3 was replaced by the boost, but a-mains site says that the boost is discontinued.

I've never had an LRP...never even seen one up close, but from what I've read people seem to enjoying the LRP line of engines.

I've always wanted to try a novarossi .28

As everyone else has said, a picco, novarossi or lrp .28 should do the Job, or if you want just buy the stock one :)

I got a hold of a new picco .28, what's the difference between me tuning it and Robin tuning it, and how long would it take. If no idea, no worries

I don't know that they "tune it", but they do offer modification services to get more performance out of the engine. They change/modify the engines internals to change timing, increase air/fuel flow, polish things to reduce turbulence... things like that.

Awesome thanks you, this is a little off topic but do you know if there is a video on how to change wheels?

Changing wheels I simple, get the wrench that came with the car and undo the wheel nuts- the wheels should slide/ fall off :)
