Okay, I have a new MGT CP 2.0 body for my truggy...I cut holes to mount it and cut the excess off and go to cut the hole for the head and the head sits right under the back corner of the cab.....so my hole is going to be on the top of the cab and run down the rear window...my question is do you guys think this will weaken the body too much or am I being paranoid??
I'm really trying to do the best paint job I can and got bummed when I saw that......

Well, I guess the reality is that there isn't too much choice. Gotta cut for the head wherever it is. On the up side, I belive the CP 2.0 is one of their newer 6 mil thick bodies, isn't it? That offers more stiffness because it's thicker poly. Just be conservative on your cut to keep as much plastic as you can while still giving enough cooling to the head. And remember, no square corners or they'll tear.

it is the 6 mil stuff......my hands can tell you from the scissor cramps I got.....
yeah I've already come to the realization I'd have to cut it there...I marked the hole and I'm going to try and keep the top one for the ignitor around 1" or so....and just do a lot of smaller holes around it so the corner can stay intact as much as possible.....I was just bummed because I wanted this one to come out all pretty and make me go OOOOoooohhh..... AAAAAHHHHhhh when I looked at it......
actually I just wanted to be able to post pics of a decent body I did.....so far I don't have one yet LOL.....
I looked at 100s of pics of peoples rigs and finally decided on what I want to do...a lil help from the artistic friends and we taped it up last night....now to make the buggy match....

Could you CA a little carbon fiber tape or fiberglass around it after ya painted it? I've never tried it. Might try it on a body ya don't care about.

Just a thought.

If you keep it on its wheels you won't have any problems...

:D

Actually I didn't even think about it, this IS the truggy and it is a real bitch to flip it...I almost have to try to make it happen...well compared to the T-maxx it seems like this anyway....

Maybe more during jumping. Normal driving around a track and you should be fine. When you start getting the itch for backflips... that sucka is dead!

Thanks for the link!

well it doesn't really flip...I tried and it flies flat as a board...a lil nose and tilt control but nothing like my t-maxx or buggy.......I'd have to have a real scooped out jump to backflip it....
