Engine cutting out

Ok first off the car has a bit of trouble starting, i have to give it a little gas to get it to catch on and start up...then after that i get the car goin down the street at top speed and let off the gas it just dies....whats the problem I'm a newbie at tuning.... 15cxp engine "its a cheap rc kinda"

I'd check your idle screw. It may be closing the carb all the way.

Check your idle set screw like diver said. When you look down the throat of the carb, there should be about a 1mm opening when the throttle is in brake and nuetral mode.

Also, you may want to richen your low speed needle (LSN) a little. It would cause the same kind of issues.
