ok well i running dual tanks so i guess you could say was on my 3 or fourth tank cause i refilled and i was doin alot of high sped runs at WOT second gear then on the 3 or 4th tank i did some more high speed runs and i did about 3-4 passes and each time a second or 2 after it switched into second it would cut out then come back and after it did it in te 3-4 passes it was fine and didn do it for the res of the tie i was running what would be the problem could i have gotten some water in through the air filter because there is alot o snow out thereand puddles or could it be another problem I'm runnin into??

If this problem doesn't come back again, it could be very hard to determine what the cause was. Your set up lends itself to some pressurization issues as most dual tank set-ups can. The fact that you were running in snow means moisture, cold temperatures, or any other issue that comes with cold wet weather can be a cause.

If the problem is gone, treat it as a transient and move from there. If you want to play on the safe side with this one, remove the engine head and check the engine internals for scarring of any sort. Something that may have impeded fuel flow could have broke loose and worked its way through your engine. Also, check your carb (needles mostly) for any gunk or obstruction. Perhaps something was blocking them for a short while, but worked its way free and through the engine. See comment one in this paragraph.

Other than that, you are probably good to go.

aight ill take the head of in a little while. Th cutting out did go away cause i ran 2 more tanks and it was fine untill i screwed up my integy engine mount.

ok i checked it out ad theres a small spot where its scoredriht above the exhuast port, its not very big

Odds are something was blocking the fuel flow through the carb...broke free and made its way out of the engine. I would not worry about this issue unless it comes back. You may still want to take the carb apart and give it a look just to be certain everthing is still where it belongs and that there is nothing else in there waiting to break loose.
