I'm wondering if the HPI 5.9 engine is really more powerful than the 4.6? Iwant to buy one, but is it all it's cracked up to be? I heard there was problems with it but i dont know.

I wouldn't buy one, a good .28 will run circles around it all day long. It's a sport engine meant to get you going, the quality is low and most people end up upgrading to something different once the engine wears out, if it lasts even that long.

Dont waste your time on a 5.9. If you want something that you are going to see performance from Picco or LRP would be the best choice.

bigtime fuel guzzler!!!! I have heard up to almost 40% quoted by some as measured against smaller highend motors capable of equal or greater power. I have one and I must say that I have never compared it to any other mill. For me it runs great and has plenty of power and torque. Don't know what I will do when it's worn out but I'll never say I was ever unhappy with the 5.9
