Got a Losi 8ight with a new RB .21 3port engine... and its real tight-its hard to turn over... I have a OFNA 1/8 scale starter box with the wheel shaved to fit the chaisis... heat the engine up with a hair dryer and take the plug out and still its hard to turn over. It's eating my starter wheel up. When I do have it turning over, I try to put the plug in (while the Glow starter is on it and hot) it just dies ... to much compression? HELP!

Any suggestions or tips to get my buggy rollin' is apreciated

sounds like too rich on one of the needles by about 1/20th of a turn or so... just nudge the needle slightly, then once it's up to temp, richen back up slowly.

Try this:

  1. Take the glow plus out totally.
  2. Rotate piston to bottom dead center.
  3. Put 5 drops (+/-) into piston/sleeve and same into carb.
  4. Now put on starter box and run box for 1 to 2 minutes with plug out.
  5. It bill begin to warm a little and the extra oil will keep it lubed up.
  6. Now put plug back in, BUT NOT TIGHT and try to start.
  7. After it starts leave glow plug igniter on for one minute in idle to begin second stage warm up.
  8. Remove igniter and tighten plug. It should now run.

Let me know.
