I just ordered an emaxx and already thinking of upgrades. I have a feeling that the stock emaxx will not run long enough for me to fully enjoy it. What setup do you recommend for me to get 35-40 minute run time that is faster then stock. This is the brushed 16.8volt emaxx.

I'm gonna defer to the electric guru save to say that I seriously doubt your gonna see those kinda run-times. Lipo technology is good, but not THAT good.

Okay so is my best bet then to get a backup battery to pop in when the first one runs out? that would = to the same thing of around 40mins for both.

Also I am browsing around and I am seeing that most people are getting up to 15-30mph with their emaxx.. How do I get mine to hit 65mph+ like the burshless emaxx says on the box? Should I just go straight for the brushless upgrade?

The more batteries you have, the better. The E Maxx runs off of 2, 8.4 volt packs(7 cells). Look into Tenergy, IB, and Intellect packs. 4000mah or higher. Make sure you use a quality charger that can handle the 7 cell packs. Most can. You'll want to be able to charge at anywhere from 2.5 to 4 amps. 2500mah pack, charge at 2.5 amps max. 4000mah, 4 amps max. 3500mah, 3.5 amps max. I always charge half an amp lower than this though. Keeps the battery a little cooler.

What would my run time look like? Also about how fast would I be getting up to?

Run times hard to estimate because everybody drives different. 20-35 minutes. Probably get up around 25-35 mph depending on gearing and tires.
