There is a lot of water proof rc truggys/cars like the 4x4 traxxas slash brushless check this, they submerge the whole truck in a pool [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Js9JnN9g-s"]Traxxas Slash 4X4 Waterproof??? Yes it is - YouTube[/ame] though I dont know about the truck/car you are talking about (I reccomend going with the slash) .

Theres alot of those Traxxas waterproofed ESCs and reciever boxes that arent always 100% waterproofed. They are very watertight but not foolproof.

The motor itself doesn't need anything done to it it will run underwater on it own you just have to make sure you dry it out 100% when your done or treat it with some corrosionX a couple of times before hand. The ESC, and the Reciever are the two biggest things you have to worry about. If you want to learn how to make them 100% waterproof just do a youtube search for "how to waterproof rc" and tons of vids will come up. Squirrelod, Jang, and DJMedic all have great waterproofing vids out there. The catch is to waterproof your electronics and make it foolproof you will void the warranties on yoru electronics. I trust the Traxxas waterproof stuff for things like slashign in puddles and running in snow etc but i dont trust them for submerging the kit.

Also while I'm not positive I believe I saw Squirrel mention that while you can run it in water if you run through dirty or muddy water you need to be absolutely positive to rinse it thoroughly so the dirt doesn't screw up your brushless motor.

I've drowned both my slash 2x4 and ax10 completely and not done anything to either but they are both brushed as opposed to brushless. My T4 is my only brushless rig and because of the $ it cost for the setup I dont run it in wet conditions anyway.
