Ebay Scam ?

This site may earn a commission from merchant affiliate

I see P.T. Barnum's quote is alive and well.

there is a scam right now on ebay but its a hpi baja clone, its free shipping no feedback and they are going for 150 bucks i reported it right away, there is never that good of a deal

If someone is selling brand new merchandise that normally sells for over $300 for only $39, it's something Ebay needs to check.

And take what action? Require that they submit photos of item? How hard is that going to be to find online and how fast will the complaints file up? I understand where your coming from, there's just no way to enforce the "i think thats too good so I'm going to report you" rule. I have bought stuff on ebay for pennys on the dollar many times. When I lost my job years ago I made a living buying and reselling and I would spend hours a day looking for deals like this. Sometimes they were scams. Sometimes they were legit deals.

No,this one was just stupidity on the buyers. Sorry guys, but it was way too obvious of a scam.

Someone hoping for a good deal and well protected from fraud is not stupid in my book. Naive, maybe. They were protected with almost nothing to lose and a helluva a deal if it wern't a scam. Worse case scenerio they wait a couple weeks from time of purchase and get their money back. Considering the payoff I'd say it's not bad. Try to get the same deal in a casino.
