I had my first experience with an E-Savage today. At first it had alot of power and seemed great, but it faded fast. It only had power for about 2-3min then it slowed considerably. I let my 6yr old run it until they completely died, took about 15 min. How long should the batteries last? How long should it have good power? It is an all stock out of the box truck. I certainly wasn't impressed any today. Would like any input on why it sucked or what may be wrong and needs checked out.

P.S. I am completely new to electric r/c except for the cheapo Wal-Mart/Toys-R-Us stuff.

I have one and its a great time.
First off, it will take a couple battery cycles (Charges and discharges before the batteries take a full charge. Make sure you have both batteries in and not just one. Give it a little time and you should see greater power for a longer time.

You may want to upgrade with a 2nd set of batteries. I'm running 3800 mha "Sport Packs" in mine. They arent as expensive as a race pack but will work great in the E-

There arent that many upgrades available for the E- at the moment. Its not a full on race truck but is a blast to run. Give it a few more packs of running and let us know if it gets better for you, It should. If not, you may have gotten 1-2 bum batteries.

Well I got to run it few more times. Yes it got better and lasted a bit longer. But I have to confess, I'm nitro biased!!!! It's just too quiet,no nitro fumes and that's not right!

I love the smell of nitro in the evening....

But I want an E-Savage! I know there isn't that many hop-ups, but would be a sweet brushless project.
