Is there a separate e-revo section I'm not seeing? Pretty certain I'll be getting one for Christmas... unless life takes a hard turn. I don't usually pay for new retail, but figured my first big foray into electric, it might be a good idea. Just thought I'd try and see what issues/upgrades may be necessary right away.
For now, just the 56086-4 (brushless revo) with dual traxxas iD 3S 5000mah packs and the traxxas ezpeak dual charger. Got a couple months to research and read up on it in my spare time. Hopefully will have time to run the thing over the holiday. Haven't fired up a nitro all summer... RPM true-track arms rear and rpm arms/carriers for the front will be the first upgrade. Probably let my wife get me that for my b-day in March. Also probably a t-bones rear skid/wheelie bar. Guessing the wing won't be enough.
Probably going to order the bits for the variable shocks and use a spare turnbuckle to make a rear chassis brace I see people complaining about. Not sure why they say it's necessary, other than the wing will rip itself out like it does on my nitro revo's. Will have to investigate a roll bar/cage as well to avoid having the body become a crumpled mess before my first packs are dead. Also not sure if replacing the receiver with a normal one is ok to do or not. Would rather use my spektrum vs having two transmitters to fuss with. After checking the manual on the traxxas transmitter... pretty sure I'd slit my wrists before I got it half way set up. Will replace the servos with a single servo at some point I'm sure.
Anyway, will keep reading and see what I can find.
