E-Flite question

Interesting. A micro coax. If you're just looking for something simple to bob around the house with, $130 is more than I would pay. I bet Air Hogs makes something similar in size for half the price. Sure, it's not E-flite. But if he just wants something to bug the dog with, you could easily check Target or Walmart for something that simple.

I completely agree with Candyman. $130 is pretty steep for something that small. Another $50 and you can have a much larger CX2 which is a great beginner heli (I had one, it was great for a newb).

I was at the mall yesterday and Brookstone has a micro heli that fits in your hand and they were like 2/$50.

Been there, done that. The Airhogs POS is just that. It might hover if you throw it in the air but only for about 2 seconds before it drops like a rock.

I actually liked it when I flew it in the LHS the other day. I just picked it up and flew it, didn't even need instruction, and I've NEVER flown anything before. I just liked how small and easy it was to fly, and it actually has flight control (the other micros seem to only have control of the tail rotor...)

I'm all for the mCX. I like it. It has a full 4 channel radio with 2.4ghz stuff and is Almost identical to the CX just a lot smaller. I actually am hoping for one for christmas.

I just bought one last week for my son for xmas, he can fly it pretty good for 8 yrs old. about 12-15 min of fly time on the 1s lipo that comes with it. I probably bought it more for me than him but I just didn't want to get something cheap like the airhog. I bought a few extra parts but we haven't broke anything and he has probably flown it 10 times today. The only con I have found about the MCX was the fact that it charges off a charger that takes 4 AA batteries which will charge it about 30 times. I have heard that there is a mod out there to change the charger to AC.

so you put batterys in the charger to charge the heli battery

yep you put the Lipo in the battery operated charger, will charge about 30 times on 4 fresh AA. 12-15 mins flight time. Its cool and if an idiot like me can fly it then anyone can. the 8 yr old flew it after I did yesterday and landed on the spot I was trying to land on and said Pwned:first_place:

how many times can u use the 4AAs before they need to be changed....I'm thinkin about gettin a blade mcx or cx2 and i can't really decide will be my first flyer so.....or i was also thing about maybe a cheap plane but the helis are just so cool

about 30 charges, I bought an extra battery and they charge pretty fast. just make sure and shut the throttle off when you run into things otherwise you will break stuff. I was able to hover and stuff straight out of the box and I haven't flown a heli before. I got the MCX I am not sure about the cx2.

i got a mcx and man this thing is awsome and challenging and surely is fun inside.just seein if u can land on this or that is greeat
