R/C servo question

Just came back to the flying hobby and I want to know if my Futaba servos from the old 72 MHz radios will work with a 2.4 ghz radio?
Yes. The servo has no idea what frequency the receiver is seeing, only doing what the receiver tells it to do. Voltage is what matters with the newer LiPo/LiHV stuff obviously..

Thank you for the reply, I will just use my new nicads if available as I don't trust lips because as a mechanic with 50 years experience I have seen the damage that they do and don't want in my airplane or my transmitter.

I’ve got over 30yrs myself. Automotive service, racecars, industrial maintenance, welding/fabrication, commercial electrical… Completely safe if you possess any common sense at all, or stick to procedure-just like anything else bud… You could not pay me to run NiCad’s when there is LiPo technology SAFE, and available.. Especially in aircraft…That’d be like picking a horse & buggy today, or being afraid of your own shadow imo…😂 If you’ve got “50 years experience”, then you likely are still able to learn, and understand-so look into it would be my advice; it’s not voodoo, and there’s literally nothing to be scared of.. Literally 99% of the horror stories you’ve seen and heard are due to OPERATOR error, and abuse.. Those guys would burn shiit up with NiCad’s too.. 🤣

If the servos are analog you could have issues with a modern receiver...
