Who is familiar with Spectrum RX/TX? I recently purchased a Spectrum DX3R pro for my Xray buggy and future 5ive t. The radio came with a SR3100 receiver, which uses the DSM2 technology. I was under the impression that I could use the integrated telemetry the radio has with this receiver, but apparently I was mistaken, and fell mislead by the description not stating the receiver supplied wasn’t telemetry compatible. My question is how much faster is the DSM2 technology over the DSM? I'm thinking it really can't be noticeable by the naked eye. From what I now understand the telemetry receivers only come DSM. Now I’m thinking the 300+ purchase didn’t really get me much more than I already had with the Hitec Aggressor SRX Pro.

Speed isn't the concern. Loss of signal and range issues are.

Dsm2 is 5.5 dsm is 11 so it is twice as fast. Be ware that that sr3100 RX has a high fail rate I have had two go bad.

You are right though you will not notice the difference in speed unless you are running something very precise. It made a Hugh difference when I ran 1/12 scale Pan car but for off road it made non at all. I never used telemetry anyway on any of my RC's so that was not a big deal for me. Only thing I would have ever used it for was battery voltage but I never really felt the need for it.

I looked quickly on the hitec site but couldn't find the info. How can I find the speed of the atom 3 receiverto see if I should just stick with that system and return the dx3r?
