They look cool, and the price is pretty cheap, but I'm a HUUUGE fan of digital trims and more than one model memory. If you have more than one rig, then you will have to rebind AND resetup the radio everytime you want to drive. That can get annoying pretty quickly.

I would probably buy an older FM setup with multiple model memory before I went for a single model radio again. Older FMs can be had DIRT cheap. Heck I even posted up 2 of my setups for Under $60.... and FM is still VERY VERY good.

Are digital trims presets ie if you set the trim to 3 and click down on the trim tab, will it go back down to zero?(or where ever you set it)

Digital Trim is the same as analog. If it's set to 5 and you go down...it will go to 4 ;-) On some radios you can set a "step" for the trim adjustments. I have the one on my DX3R set to 3 so 1 push will go up or down 3 on whatever trim I press.

The good part of digital is it remembers what you set it to for each model memory.

Does the trim go down at a fast rate because on my boats I have to trim the motor up so much that if it sits idling for longer than 5 seconds it would blow a con rod.

The trim will go up and down at whatever rate you set, at least on the DX3R.

Why would your engine blow a con rod from idling?

Granted I run smaller engines....but I run medium hot or hot. Easier to tune and what not.

My buddy just got one for his crawler and is very happy with it, for a $100 for a 2.4ghz TX and RX you really can't go wrong....

Sweet. Make's it a little cheaper when I go to buy them. 2 dx3e's, 1 dx3.0 and 2 extra sr300 receivers. :whhooo:
