AC, the way you go through R/C's I would get a really good radio for Christmas, one that holds multiple models, and then get a spare set of shock ends, just in case. No need to get the RPM arms unless you bash SERIOUSLY hard. Save for a .18 or 23 mill. By then you will need RRP spur and clutch, too.

I do go through them haha, but I usually don't keep more than 1 or 2. From now until at least next summer I will only have one R/C, the Revo. But, you never know I could end up selling it in a month hahaha. I am still paying off my car becuase I was forced to upgrade haha and it doesn't make sence to have two, so I got my dad to buy one hehe.
I think I will be leaving it stock, and just keep some spares on hand. The Revo requires a 3-Channel radio, correct? I may go that route for x-mas. I could run it off my dad's XR3i but then we could not run at the same time.
So bascially, out of the box it should hold up to some decent bashing and every now and then a arm or a shock end could go, correct?

I've been beating the snot out of mine for close to a year now. The ONLY thing not stock is the shock ends and the radio. I'm using the Racers Edge aluminum ends and love them.
I have broken 1 a-arm and thats it. Un-like Divers bad driving leading to cartwheels, mine ended up with the right front snagging a parked 1:1 tire.

i beat the crap out of my revo, (partly because i am not the best of drivers and like to go wide open for every jump) but it is ready to do it all again the next day. the few parts that i have broken i had to really try.
i have a question though, will a revo out bash a lst? my friend wants a mt and is planning on getting it this week. i told him he can't go bad with either one of these. all he wants is a truck that can jump all day and not break super easy. he is leaning toward a lst, i never seen one run so will he be dissapointed?

On the first run of the LST's, they were known to have weak front arms. I saw one snap like a twig from a landing that wasn't even that bad. Just cocked and it landed on it's right front tire first.
As I said, it's the first runs that did it but the issue may have been addressed by now. With an MT, they are made to be jumped but breaking is all up to the driver. The LST is a speed demon. Anything will break under speed if hit hard enough but he should be satisfied with it.

Like Eddy, mine is mostly stock as far as the suspension. I plan to upgrade as parts break, but so far, other then shock ends, nothing has broke. Even the upgraded aluminum control arms have not bent. I did up the shock oil as it was just too soft for racing. Same for springs, used the optional harder springs they supplied.

Well I plan to leave it stock until at least christmas, unless something is needed. Thanks for all your input guys. I won't get the Revo for a bit tho, gotta wait for my truck to get to Bruce, then he'll ship the Revo so it could be a bit but o well. A good excuse to drive the dad's MP777 
I just watched some of airmaxx's vids of the Revo and its incredible, if I did anything near that my truck would have been in at least 10 pieces.

For bashing you might want to consider Tan (front) and Black (rear) springs. Change to 50wt oil and P2 rockers. If you are going to run on the stock engine, the drivetrain should be fine. If you going for TM323, then the all the drive shafts need to go. The differential hold up pretty good. Mine last 3 gallons and the front diff went bye bye. I am going to try Maximizer Diff cup next. Did I mention there is not diff oil in there? Just grease from Traxxas
What ever you do, don't buy aluminum pushrod. Use stock or go Lunsford. The next most common problem I have is the POS rocker posts. I change it twice in a week and finally gave up and went Lunsford titanium.

Ok, getting ready for the Revo to be here on Thurs. I payed off most of my debt and my dad told me to pay him next summer when I can work some more, which left me with some cash 
. I picked upa full set of RPM arms for $37 shipped from Bruce, and a XR3i for $55 shipped from sweetdiesel. I will going to a hobbystore this weekend, www.hobbyetc.com is where I am going. They carry a whole bunch of Revo hop ups including some Aluminum Shock ends at $6.80 a pair.

Should I go for it? I want this thing bullet proof haha. Look around the site, they've got everything for Revos, is there anything else thats needed? I would have skipped the RPM arms until you broke a stock one. Anyhow, skip the GTR shocks. Needed more for racing than anything else. Get the AL shock ends and consider the Lunsford rocker posts. Those can go too. Also, the wheels are known to break with heavy bashing. Consider the Pro-Line 23mm set up.

For the GTR shocks, I was considering getting that just cause it has extra stock shock ends, they are out of stock on just the ends.
I'm gunna use the stock wheels/tires unless they break. My goal was not to break a stock arm so I'd be waiting for a week to get another in. This way if I do manage to break an arm I'll have a stocker to replace it with until I get another in. Link to the rocker posts?
