Fail Safe will apply the brake and return you throttle to idle if any radio interference is detected or low batteries. Keeps you car from a runaway.
 
A throttle return spring is recommended to work alongside the failsafe.
 
just got a micro failsafe from Ofna, it is very nice, small out of the way and easy to install a definant upgrade. all i had before was a throttle return spring know I have both.
