Ever had one of those days, where you said something earlier in the day then lived to regret it later the same day ? no ? well I did, today of all days, when I just ordered new parts for this rig.

I decided to crack the revo out to tune the second gear shift point. for 5 minutes of "fun" i ended up with an hour of wrench time. Grrrrrrrrrrr

So what happened ? well, smashed front bulkhead, broken steering brace, broken steering bracket broken steering arm on the servo saver and a twisted front bulkhead brace !

All that, because of a kerb (Do NOT say a WORD Revo_rob_1984, NOT A WORD !!!!).

I wouldn't mind, but I had pulled up the brake, then the revo barrel rolled onto the darn kerb with a light thud yet strangely, hard enough to cause the damage !

Heres the pics, the parts are a bit of a mess really, thank goodness i had the spares is all i can say !!

That sucks man. What do you mean you had pulled up the brake? You mean you were on the brakes when this happened? Was it a runaway issue from loss of signal or something, or just a traction roll?
 
HPIguy; yes I was on the brakes and it was indeed a traction roll ending in a barrel roll but....................

How did you know that it was traction roll rob ??????????? my driving that famous ? lol

No. . .you are using a spektrum radio, and run aways are a thing of the past with those, and not to mention you prolly have a return spring on there any wayz, so. . .i took the next logical guess and said it was a traction roll
 
very nice carnage, kinda disappointed now that I was flinging mine off a 20 ft cliff last weekend and didn't break anything.:D
 
rob, dont be a smart a$$ lol hehehe,

I still can't work out what caused it to roll sideways when i was on the brake in a straight line !
 
thinking about it, it is quite funny as it goes !!

Oh, btw Rob, i want to see a pic of that wing on your revo when you get it !

Syphon, I have given this rig nothing but abuse since I got it (pre-owned) just trying to see what would break, yet when I just try to have fun with it I trash it, what are the odds ?

blimey, i am honoured rolex, not seen you comment on a thread I started before.

Go break something ? i just did !! lol, i'm out bashing again tomorrow, so we will see what happens !

That sucks man. When I raced touring cars, they would traction roll from time to time, it always frstrated the hell out of me trying to figure out why until an older racer was nice enough to explain it to me in very simple terms.
 
HPIguy, it wouldn't happen to be down to inertia, weight transfer, roll axis (roll centre), C.O.G, wheel camber, ride height & suspension swing angle would it ?? not to mention tyre size and if the tyres are soft like the standard Talons are.

At least, that's how i figure it works out.

In physics terms, I'm sure that's it. He made it much simpler......heavy finger + light car + sharp corner = crunch LOL. He was very cool though, and taught me a lot about the setup on them.
