SUp newnitro...sorry to here of your losses bro but fell fortunate that all of your stuff wasn't stolen. Insurance companies are scum as you probably know but it DEFINITELY helps you get a more realistic amount of money back in your claim if you have receiepts (SP).
Speaking of theifs....I'll share a story with yooz guys that might make you feel better..
One of my older friends (ealier 30's) is a hardcore mountain biker. He's been sponsored a plehtora of times and broken some many bones doing 40-60+ mph downhill racing that's it's almost unbelieveable.....Anyway
He owns his own chain of bike shops and about three weeks ago he finished building a sick ass custom Santa Cruz moutain bike that went for around $5500.00..he said it was a work of art. The guy picked up his new beauty and three days l8tr he leaves it in the back of his truck with no lock or anything and of course it's stolen. He called my buddy at the bikeshop and let him know that the bike was stolen, my buddy offers his regards and tells him that "in ten years of buisness" no idiot theif has ever brought a stolen bike back to the shop".
A week l8tr a guy calls and tells him that he has a nice bike that he bought at the other store and wanted to know if he could get a freetune up......my friend says sure and bring it in with paperwork if possible. The guy that wanted a tune up was the guy that stole the bike or bought the stolen bike, another guy was working that day and put the bike in the back for my buddy to work on. The next day my friend couldn't phucking believe his eyes when he saw the STOLEN custom bike that he finished with his bare hands not to long ago sititng in his store. He checked the serial numbers and of course it was the stolen bike....lol. A couple days l8tr the guy come in to pic up "his" bike and my friend tells him that "it's a stolen bike and he has 10 minutes to leave the store before he calls the police...my friend also said that the dude looked like a WWF wrestler...lol.
The guy of course says "that's bullchit, that he bought it not to long ago at the other store and blah, blah...give me my phucking bike" and three guys threw the dude out of the store on his face (allot better then going to prison imho..lol) and the dude drove off.
In ten years of buisness he's never anything like that nor has anyone else he knows in the bicycle community. The owner of the bike was of course amazed to c his baby and took everyone out for steak. I doubt that the dude had any idea of the value of the bike or he would have sold it and probaby thought it was just a nice commercially avaliable bike. I hate phucking theives!!
Not to theives....if your gonna still peoples chit don't bring it back to the place where it was built/made.
Peace
