Been there done that too! Electrical tape and a napkin work well too.

I used to work with this dude who did roofing. one day he was siting, Indian style and ended up shooting a "ten-penny" nail through his left thigh. He took some newspaper and balled it up, stuffed it in the whole and wrapped it in duct-tape and worked the rest of the day.
