Revo Chassis Project..Two lids ........cool pics

Ok In no particuliar order these are some shots I took this weekend of my latest project.
It is not complete yet, needs engine and tranny (building the tranny now and the fresh OS 18TM just arrived). This chassis will serve two lids and the one "Old School" lid from Candyman will be its show lid, and the monster beettle I painted with cans will be its basher. It will sport dog bones all around, ali knockoffs, robinson gears, Nova head, Some nice chrome rims and zombies....anyway enjoy....comments and feedback welcome!!!

i've been trying to figure out what your trying to explain through the subject for the past 5 hours now..

dual use..what the heck are you talking about?

are you talking about how u can use 2 diffrant bodies on your truck?

I was trying to say yes that I will use these two bodies on the one chassis..........I should have said Look at my truck and its two lids,,,,;)
 
Hmm, That hole in the middle of the truck looks familiar. I have one just like that in my new Revo. lol. Working on filling it up though. Thanx again, Talon!

Sorry I missed this thread yesterday. I really like the set up. Great job on the bodies...I really like the truck with the detailed bed. I was looking at the "baja" lid but instead went with the 2007 Chevy Crew Cab. I have some serious painting to do when summer gets here. By the way, My Crowdpleazer body? Well lets just say its going to look like one of my favorite cars growing up....Anyone remember 'SpeedRacer"....Been combing the web for pictures of "Trixie" in a Bikini and haven't been able to find one....LMAO J/K.
Seriously, I really like the looks of your "project" so far....

Thanks man....I really enjoy the build up part....I can't run fir poop but I like them at this stage....all prestine...;)



I NEED to see the Speed racer set up....one of my fav cartoons growing up......search the Japanese animi sites for a look alike....heck you could probably find a nude one...;)

I would like to say it will be really imaginative but I am new and this will be a first run...The paint job will hopefully be spot on...The funny thing was...While I was at the hs I told them about my concept and he laughed and said I was the 3rd person in the last 2 weeks with that idea...So much for originality...The good news is, mine is the only Revo 3.3 so far. The other one I thought about was Racer-X's ride...That would be a cool look...Since you have the talent, I leave it up to you to design and paint the "Mammoth Car" (Maybe a Hummer Body?) remember that episode?????? LOL
Anyway Like I said, I really enjoy your work...congrats

Looking sweet Talon,

Did you by the chassis black or did you get it anod, and if so by who, that thing is sweet.
Is that a 2.5 chassis, if so we will have to go bash, same size revo with same engine that should be a good bash.



PS your rear right tire is backward. If you havnt noticed already.

Yea I followed the losi dots in glueing.....then realized it was on backwards...:clap:


Yep that is a 2.5 chassis.......I painted it black.......stove paint.......followed by tractor paint....heat resistant and shinny too!!!
