i just saw a show about meth, not methanol , after seeing the show i think meth should have a sentence of death. what i saw i have never seen be for. one hospital spends 3,000,000 a year for meth users that have no coverage. they showed the teeth of meth users totally reached. my dad told me to NOT use drugs, i knew he wanted whats good for me, i NEVER did use drugs. i thank GOD every day that my dad told me not to do drugs.

I live in East Tennessee, the meth production capitol of the entire south east. Houses have burned to the ground, trailers have blown wide open and even a car transporting a mobile lab exploded on I-40, closing it for several hours while hazmat teams cleaned it up. Several people have died, children have been removed from houses and trailers permeated with the deadly chemicals, and most robberies and car and home break-ins are the result of the meth addiction.
I think it's even worse than heroin since they can make their own.
For some, it IS the death penalty.

I have done it about 6 times, crushed and snorted, great rush at a bad bad BAD cost.

Yea....... i see it on a weekly basis. Some of the nastiest stuff out there. Makes people do stupid things. Good for my job security though.

I've seen meth ruin lives up close and personal. It cost my former brother-in-law his house, wife, daughter, car and freedom. He spent almost 10 years in a Federal lock-up for manufacturing and distributing the stuff. And yes I agree that the meth users, dealers and manufacturers need heavier sentences.

I was into the coke during my twenties and early thirties, and that was bad enough. I'm glad I escaped with only some financial problems and cravings. It's been over 4 years now and there's no going back, life's way too short!

Those meth heads need to be dealt with, even if it means bending the rules a little bit.

like rolex said its a VERY short life sometimes. even if all drugs was gone there would still be lots of work for law enforcement. my hat is tipped to law enforcement. not an easy job. my dad was an MP in ww2. he had stories. but he didnt deal with drugs.

I used to smoke pot when I was a teenager.. tried lsd once.. but i guess i knew better than go any further into that hole..

Got into smoking pot a couple years back, thought it was the "cool" thing to do Freshman year of Highschool. Grades started slipping, got charged with possession, and my parents where at the point of disowning me, Gladly i had enough brain cells left to break away from it all.

Thankfully this is all I do now and never been caught by the law. Started when I was 14 (25 now) and played it safe with it. Sure I got busted by my parents, but the grades started slipping and couldnt fix intime for graduation so I did "Post Highshcool" and got my diploma that way so thats good.

I have to many strong feeling against its claim for being illegal and will take it to the grave with pipe in hand.

I smoked a LOT of weed in my time but now I can't due to my career path... but if i didnt have to have a gov't clearance and random drug and alcohol tests I'd be blazing as we speak... Just legalize the poop already... I dont understand the thought process behind Marijuana being illegal and alcohol not... They are finding that pot has medicinal qualities... no one ever beat an old lady over the head for her pocket book for a bag of weed... hell, pot heads are too lazy to rob anyone.

I can see the issue with some of the other drugs... Meth, cocaine, even LSD... but marijuana is harmless... "oh but its a gateway drug" ... Bullshit... If I was on the golf course betting dollars on how far i could drive a ball then next week i go to vegas and blow $1000 on the craps table... does that mean I can blame golf as the gateway to my gambling???

I took a course this semester about drugs. It was an awesome class and really explained what is happening to your body when you do certain drugs. Nothing seemed enticing enough to try

That's good for you^. I'm sure some things were exaggerated, but it worked right?

I would smoke weed occasionally if it weren't for my job.

I believe so. Golf stands for "Gateway Of Las Vegas Failures".
Dare to keep kids off golf.

^^ lol

Same thing more or less, although I started around my last year of high school. Got caught by the parents by the end of my first year of college, and man were they pissed. Interestingly enough, for those two years my grades went up. I got an A+ in every one of my classes. I had to back off (at least for a while), but I think I kept the laziness :D

I too blaze up from time to time when I can afford to score a bag. I used to drink alot in my late teens up to about my mid twentys. Once I discovered the herb drinking fell to the way side, got tired of the hangovers, I still occasionaly have a beer with a friend if it's offered or for certain occasions like New Years or a friends birthday party. I usually limit myself to two maybe three and that's it. I feel they sould legalize pot too!

Man I figured this conversation would be in FFA.

I'll throw a little rant in here....

The hell with the weed. Why should anyone care?
How many times have ya saw on the news someone beat their 'ol lady while smoking? Nope, just laid back and chilling.
Let the same idiot have a little too much alcohol and it's on though.

I'm not proud of a lot of things I did when I younger. Still do some things I regret.

Here's mine.
These doctor's writing a script for pain pills!!!
Just go out of state, tell the doc your back hurts... Wham, Bam, got enough pills prescribed that you aren't able to function normal!
I think some of these doctor's need locked up.
A person drives 10 to 16 hours to another state to go to a doctor? That isn't normal. But that is what is going on here.
Drive to FL, see the doc, walk up the hall and get your script filled. Snort half of those up and sell the rest. Made enough money to go back and do it again!

Crap is pretty bad here. Most of the home break-ins are older people that may have pain pills. They need them, probably don't take as many as the doctor prescribed.
