Can anyone tell me if they know where I can buy the driveshaft yoke screw pins? M4/14.5

I looked on the Traxxas site but I dont see them available without buying the yokes. That sucks!

So if anyone knows where I can get them I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Put me down for 100 pcs, lol :D

Traxxas SUCKS! I can't believe I am gonna have to buy a bunch of stuff I don't need just to get those pins. Most expensive screw pins I ever will have to buy.

Well I just so happen to be going to a CNC machine shop this week for something else I am having made. I will see if they would be interested in making them.

I will keep you posted.

Sounds great, Thanks.

Hell we could even sell them on the Traxxas board, lol :D

BTW Christian I PMed you about painting that buggy body, lmk.

I just called Traxxas and asked the parts guy and sure enough they don't package the pins seperate.

Doesn't make much sense as they will sell you all the crappy cheap stock button head screws to hold the truck together but not the yoke pins. :wtf:

All the companies do the same thing.
Losi, AE, HPI, Traxxas just to name a few.

From their standpoint can you imagen the logistical nightmare of every part from every RC having a separate skew, bag, and header card. Not to mention all the shelf space these parts would take up at the LHS. I'm sure if they were packaged by themselves we would bit-ch about the cost.

O-well... I wish all the parts were available individually as well, but I understand why they aren't.

What about there . Mind you I am not at home so I can't look at one to see if a fully thread one will fit.

Your absolutely right FLATTOP, I find Eddys argument a little weak. When traxxas sells every other cheap ass screw they use to build the trucks seperately why not sell them in a package of like 10 pins? How many hobby shops even carry all the parts that are sold seperately that they do offer? None that I have found, but my hobby shop will order anything that is available for me and I will have it usually within just a few days.

I personally think its just a way of selling you more product then you actually need. Seems kind of stupid if you lose a pin to have to buy a complete assembly.

When I wanted diff shims, and with those sloppy ass traxxas diffs I really needed them. I had a hell of a time finding them. No part # even mentioned on the Traxxas site but there is actually a part# for a pack of 10 shims. I had to get them from a hs in Staten Island NY.

X, they are 1.5 mm longer (could be cut I guess), however I think having threads through the hole on gear would cause severe wear to the gears.

I guess I am not following you on the gears?

In the end of the spider gears and pinion gears, the end outside the diff case, there is a hole that the smooth part of the pin goes through, if entire pin was threaded it would chew up the inside of that hole. The threaded part only goes into the threaded side of the yoke. The smooth part of the pin goes through the gear and into the other smaller side of the yoke.
