I blew my rear diff in my LST2.Now I bought a new one but it is from the XXL.I took out the diff that was broke and took the driveshaft off the origional diff and had no problem. Now I can not get the shaft off the new one! When I bought it I was told I would have to switch driveshafts but I can not get it off!!Ant ideas?? I sprayed WD-40 in the grub hole 4 times and nothing!
Help please!

They probably put too much thread lock on it when assembling it. You may need to heat the CVD with a small torch or the like the break down the thread lock.

You may want to check the ring/pinion tooth count. I thought they changed the gearing on the XXL. Maybe it was just an internal transmission change, but I know they changed the gearing on it.

I'd hate to see you go through the trouble of messing with it only to find out that it doesn't match your front diff.

I agree with the torch. Just enough heat to get the locktite to let go. Go too hot and you may hurt a bearing.

Yup diffs are the same, only gearing change is in the tranny. The ring and pinion gear in the tranny have a higher gearing than earlier LST type trucks.
