yea, I dont know why I do it. I first heard of it when I played NFSU then I started watching vids, and started drifting RC's this year...

Yeah, haha i also got into rc drifting when NFS underground came out.

Can you get any speed with Pvc tires, or does it just spin like crazy?

for drifting, you need a good ESC. Otherwise the tires just spin a ton. You can get decent speed if you accelerate slowly... another thing that you want is a high turn motor. You want that for better drifing. In drifting, you want torque, not rpms...

Arent you supposed to glue the pipe on the rim????

No, it wouldnt hold as good as if you tightly fitted it on with electrical tape...

pics of mine will be up soon...

Hmm speed. You dont need much but redhat is right about the motors and esc. Just drive at like half throtle youll get some speed and the punch-it when going into the turn. With my car i use the stock tamiya motor and a old novak esc.

This is a question for redhat: What size is the tt-01 chassis is it 200mm or what cause I'm thinking about getting a new "ricer" body?

I am almost positive it is 190mm. I bought an HPI Saleen Mustang body that was 200mm and it is a tad big, and I had to improvise on where to drill the holes.

Here is a pic of my TT-01 with a Tim Allen Saleen Mustang Body on it:

(camera stretched the car out a bit...)

yea, the best for drifing IMO is the silvercan motors (stock ones, like the tamiya one).

Nice car! Tim Allen, the guy from Home Improvement? J/K Did you do the paint job yourself? Is it a dragon on the side? Never-the-less it looks sweet.

LOL, I wish... Those are decals. And yes, tim allen from home improvement LOL. Thanks a lot.

menards and home depot dont carry ABS pipe. i talked to a guy that worked there and said ABS was super soft, like when he would cut it, the pipe would get kinda soft. I figure that if its a hot day and I'm drifting alot i dont want the pipe to get warm and get stickier, also i guess if it got too warm they would warp on the rims and screw up.

4U2nV drifting is about controlling what most see as uncontrollable.....I use my TC3 and that's all I do w/ it...drift...it helps when I'm racing 1/8 scale....the dirt slides like a rally car so you really need good throttle control that's what drifting helps w/
