I can't imagine it will. You would just need to keep a close eye on engine temps since you will be spending your time sliding around at slower speeds than normal driving.

i dont think it wil do much damage cause hpi designed a nitro drift car.
just dont do drifts with full rpm.

when i started drifting i just got my car and kept the rpms way to high and blew the head gasket.

Err correct me if my facts are messed up:

- Drifting is when your car slides sideways on a turn purposly (can't really explain it) Kinda like hydro-plaining but w/o the water.

So, How does this ruin a engine??

It ruins the engine because your reving it real high but because need no-traction tires you go slow. a.k.a going slow no air+high revs== boom. If you dont rev too high you shoulb be fine.

Nitro drifting is ok and will not harm the motor if you run it rich and you run a hot plug so the extra rich setting won't blow out the glow plug. It is kinda bad and good, it all depends how you set the car and motor up.

Bandit, I am not knocking your post or anything along those lines, but it will be ok if you run it more rich than normal. Running your motor rich will disable the motor to rev extremely high and isn't to bad. Now the motor still won't last as long as it would if you were just driving on and off throttle because it is still running at a higher RPM longer than if you were driving.

Hope this helps, no hard feelings Bandit or anyone else.
