anyone here make or buy one? i was on the diy channel that rc show. people go drag racing and do like 0 to 80 in a second or something in rc cars.

It looks really cool, but get boring real fast.. Unless you have an LHS with organized races, I would not bother with the drag cars.

every sunday they dragrace by me in a circuit city parking lot. they hit like 0-80 in 3 seconds! there cool looking to . they try to save every ounce of wieght. they dont even have cooling heads just to save wieght! carbon fiber and titanium are a must on those things. they go through foam tires every race day.

They run with a cooling head, but a very small one. IT does save weight but the reason they run a smaller cooling head is for heat... that way it heats up much faster.

oh then they must be like a fin or two because all i see is the block and then the glow plug. maybe i looked at it to fast

any one have any pics of some of those events or of the cars? oh and does any one know any sites where i can find any events in area (nyc)?

I'm building a drag car and hope to have it into production this summer. It's really growing . They even have drag strips made just for RC
