All my life I've been mud riding four wheelers. Rc cars are a different story though but lets see if i can get some insight. Alright, Trust you have a good seal on your motor, wouldn't you be able to build a snorkel for underwater running? We have snorkels on four wheelers for Air filter intake, Belt Drive Intake, and Belt drive exhaust. So technically wouldn't i be able to run a pipe for air intake through the air filter like its done large scale? So speaking i run the pipes for air intake and exaust would this work? Maybe ill "borrow" my friends 2.5 seal it up and find out :hehe:

There is more than just the motor you need to keep water out of. Servos, reciever, diff, tranny...... its just not a good idea to run nitro in water.

My question is why?
Is it just to say yes you did it.
Its up to you goog luck with that one and keep us posted.
I would just buy a boat or a submarine if you wanna play in the water like that.

You know how it is in Louisiana, if you have something you feel like you are obliged to run it in the mud/water.

Get an electric. Easily waterproofed, and some come that way.

Fun in the mud.

Damnn looks fun, but i like working on motors that are loud, so I'm going nitro. I wasn't planning on do in this, just seeing if you nitro pros could tell me IF its possible.

It's possible, but the maintenance will be brutal. Running in damp conditions is easier to deal with than submerging it like alpine is showing. When a nitro engine hits 270F then hits cold water, the temps change so much that it totally jacks up the tune. Then with mud caked to the engine, it will run hot and more than likely get damaged.

You from LA...where?

You from LA too, just noticed. I'm from Breaux Bridge area. What about you? I want to run my rc in the cane field behind my house. They have some good earth jumps and sand to cut up in. Nothing i can't work on with my shovel!

We all know that Rolex has put his name on all the drawing slips. His Savage is lonely sitting on the shelf by itself. So you don't really have a chance........
