This is what happens when you let someone drive your rc that has never drove one before. This was my Maxx but after it was fixed the guy that crashed it bought it from me. He help pay for the parts so he figured he should just buy it LOL. Almost forgot this is from hitting a road sign at wot.

I wasn't mad because I knew he didn't know how to drive it but I let him anyway so my fault. It cost around $80.00 (Ihad afew parts already) and he gave me $60.00 so no biggie.

count your blessings...I let a friend drice an electric touring car and said NO PUDLES...the closest one was like 200 ft away from him......bee-line right to the puddle....totally submerged it and stopped 10 ft into it......DONE.....batt...70 /ESC...75 /RX.....50 /Servo.....40....and No pay.....he lets me ride his dirt bikes all the time and he maintains em....so I guess it's a wash

Man, as much money as I have wrapped up in these things I would ask for a cash deposit before I let anyone drive them. You know I have had a few ask to do so, but for the most part when I am running them people just gather around and watch. I guess they are afraid to ask. They just stand around and say wow, and ask me how fast they go, and how much I paid for them. I should get an old junker and let them drive it. Maybe get a few more folks into the hobby. I let my old man drive the Maxx a few weekends back and I thought I was going to have a heart attack! He almost hit everything!

I was breaking in the buggy on Sunday and some kid brought out his nitro oval and fired it up about 10 houses down.... I don't know what it was but I could hear it was nitro. Good thing I got that fail safe installed... He just fired his radio on and didn't even care to ask if I was running his freq. Damn kids! :jk:

Dude that sucks about your Maxx.. but at least he gave you money for it. I think Plaid gave me the idea that if I wanted to take someone out to drive it... take it out into a big field with no holes or obsticales... then let them go all out. Nice ride man....

Tom

yeah the field thing helps cause they have no idea how hard it is to control something that quick and nimble....everyone oversteers em and crashes...at least in thebig feild they can safely tumble it around a littel to get used to the steering.....I let my friends who have them run em sometimes.....there's that unspoken understanding of fixing it if they break it....and most of the guys I run w/ are good drivers anyway....and you get good tips from letting the hardcore racers run your rig...they usually have a few tricks to let you in on as far as chassis setups and what not.....

Thats a sweet maxx must have been a bad wreck!! Plaid my baby daughter loves your avatar she is 2, she just climbed on my lap and yelling neam neam lol she can't say nemo yet, Its her favorote movie

LOL...I like it too....I tried a dancing hippo but it just wasn't me....well maybe it was but I need a fish to go with my screen name....
the plaid fish tribe lives on via the internet....

LMAO! Yeah I like the Nemo it fits you lol, wacked out fish hehe :jk:

It's funny how an electric always finds it's way to water.

SMaxxin what did your buddy hit with your Maxx that has some serious damage done to it!

like a friggin homing missile...it was a rocket too....10tD w/ 3300 pack...evil little thing and I just liked to chase my girls dog w/ it.......LOL.....ever see a white french poodle try and look feirce...what a joke

I can see you out there doing that Plaid lmao. I have actually ran my rustler in a rain storm once, that is before I knew it could hurt it lol and luckly it diddnt do anything.

Man, my maxx looked like that, except mine was stock. Thats what started this damn upgrade phase... I didnt drive it after that untill i got a few upgrades... then it broke about an hour later, took it all apart and upgraded some more... Then about last november thats when i started the major rebuild with hop ups... I always let my friends drive my rcs... One of em is crazy at the wheel, but he is the freakin best driver i have ever seen! He pushes my rcs to the limits and i can't believe how good they are with a good driver... Must be all those damn video games he plays... Then the other friend has his own rcs and he beats the living hell out of em. I hand my controller over to him and he barely does anything (he can't handle the big block power :hammer: !!!!!). I now have failsafes on both of my rcs. well, with all the money i sunk into em, i wouldnt have anything less...

I think your second friend is being more respectful of your stuff RC.....I'm the same way...when it's mine I push it till I break it....that's usually the end of my day.....when it's someone elses...I'm very tame....unless they say to hammer it I go easy w/ other peoples stuff....

I experienced a similiar feeling , as I watched my newly deflowered Savage, slide 6 ft on its freshly painted lid & cooling head, at the hands of a good friend who was merely answering my question "Hows the low end?" I guess he felt that he should just show me... lol
cough..cough.. Thanks NC...

I have never even driven any one elses Rc before or for that matter have seen one in person lol. If I did I would be extremely carefull and be very easy on it. I try to be that way with mine and it last for a while then the next thing I know I'm trying to see how long I can drive it on 2 wheels lol. But I'm still carefull I can't afford to fix it right now.If someone want to drive one of my Rc,s I will let them drive the E-Rustler doesn't break as easy and not as fast either :)

This is the reason i don't drive other peoples r/c.but at least he paid for most of it but hell, that sucks.

LMFAO! Well you put the controller in my hand, so really who's fault was it? This is actually a bit of a lie, I did not scrape the body as you wanted to tune it with the lid off if you remember correctly. That was done as you went flying down the straight away end over end. And don't forget the new defective shock towers too, they are too soft  I was just showing you how the bottom end was, that is what you asked, lol. And after being oh so careful with it while I was breaking it in. Oh that sound, I can still hear it clearly, that metal scraping across the asphalt. :8-0:
