Strange how the world sees bigger dogs like Pit Bulls, Boxers, Rottweilers and Dobermans to name just a few as "risks" when every day little carpet crappers like poodles, Yorkshire terriers, spaniels and the like snap at and bite people at will.

Actually, my dog is a total wuss, lol. She's part Queensland Heeler, part Westminster Corgi (the lowrider type). I guess you can call her a mini Heeler, because she's half the size of a normal Heeler. Aside from the fact that she's very defensive of the car she's riding in, or the person she's with, she's never bitten anyone. In fact, this dog is afraid of deisel engines, ricer exhausts and my rc18b.

It's all in how the dog was raised/trained, and not the breed; my dog is living proof.

The Chihuahuas that have been in our family's have all been with great owners but ehy snap at every dang thing that gets near them. Then there is that cocker spaniel... I just despise that dog as it knows no rules and snaps at the hand that feeds her. I am bringing my dog when I get him to this little monster.

LOL, that's how my mom's cocker spaniel is. She barks at ANYTHING! You so much as break wind near the dog and it barks. Ketchup bottle squeezing, and it barks. Slam a cabinet door, and it barks. Cough, and it barks.

Not to mention the whole people food addiction. You even walk towards the kitchen, and the dog jumps up and beats you there (even though it's been laying around all day).

No more big dogs for me.
After the death of my Bull Mastiff (164 lbs), I won't get another big dog.
Near the end he had to be carried to get him into the car and stuff.
I just got a Boston Terrier.
Great little dog. She's only about 17 lbs @ 6 months. Maybe 22 lbs at full grown. Suits me fine.

Shes afraid or her own shadow.

My nieghbors have a Boston Terrier. Neat little dog. Super friendly. They're having problems with their English Bulldog getting mean, though.

Mondo, that Golden Spaniel may be suffering from a problem that occasionally hits Golden Retrievers. It's why we had to put down our two year old Golden. He'd get really possesive of any new toy, or treat. He did it one night, when I was playing with him, and there wasn't anything for me to be too close to. The rest of the time, he was a great big love. The last time he did it, I tried just calmly calling his name, and he started acting confused. It was like part of him new he wasn't supposed to doing that, and didn't want to. Man, I miss that dog. :( Might just be lack of proper disciplining, too.

Pitts, Rots, and the like have bad reputations, because they've been favored in the past, for fighting. Pitt Bulls being the current favorite. Chow Chows are the breed of dogs that actually tends to be mean, though.

Our current dog thinks he's a big dog. Not that he tries to cop an attitude, he just likes to find the biggest dog he can, to play with. I've seen him ignore smaller dogs, if there was a big one around. The one time a larger dog snapped at him, he backed off, and got this kind of "What was that all about?" look on his face.

Three years ago my son's faithful old pitbull went to the great kennel in the sky. She died of old age. Not the brightest of dogs, but she was loyal, faithful and harmless to the family. She had a good innings at 15 years.
His mom decided to get another dog and came to the conclusion she'd get a dog that is a little calmer and more sociable than a Pit Bull terrier, so she bought a Golden Spaniel which the kids (apropriately) named Tyson.
Now that is one infuckingsane mofo animal. Darned thing is so possesive over the kids that it'll take a chunk out of anyone who comes to close to the kids when the dog is in close proximity
It's bitten me more than once for no reason other than being "too close" to the kids
I have a permanent scar on my left hand from Tyson and the dog has paid the price, he has "Nike" embossed on his ass in retaliation for his unprovoked attacks.
Now I am an animal lover but little dogs take the piss, they use the "cute factor" to offset their fiddlesticked up tempraments.

Pit bulls are man made dogs. They wont even breed on there own. They have to be "Rub started" then mounted on the other dog. Also there the only other animal besides a shark that has that type of lock jaw.. THATS the reason why they get a bad rap. They were bred for aggression and natural killer instincts. IMO there the most worthless dogs to have as pets. I dont care what anyone says. They ALWAYS have that killer instinct NO MATTER how there raised. Theres a reason why there getting banned in cities all across the US.
Small dogs (Yappers) may have big dog syndrome but at least you dont have to worry about them Killing you. How many kids ya hear or read about getting killed by Chiuaha's?

My cousin has a pure breed blue nose pit that was all muscle the weight probably 150 give or take named hydro. Hydro was known for the killing of other pits on the block (we didnt fight him). He just didnt like other dogs but you put him near a kitten of a kid and he would act like a puppy rolling around and jumping. He was a very loyal dog though didnt need a leash but needed to look out for other dogs. He was very protective of anyone he knew. He wouldnt bite but would sit in front of you blocking your path. he was killed by some guy who threw his pit in my cousins yard where hydro slept to fight. Hydro ended up killing the dog and the owner killed hydro. I've been around a few others since then but never had one my self. My mom said they eat to much.

I personally love pits and wouldnt mind getting one in the future.

blah blah blah

all pits are bad and should be done away with,....all guns do are hurt people destroy them all,... alcohol impairs people who drive who then crash into/kill people,... cigeretts servo no purpose all kill people stop making them,...you can only drive 70mph legaly, so stop making cars that go over that because its dangerous & people die in high speed crashes....i could go on but wont

lastly
I'm really REALLY against cigeretts, but i wouldnt want to have someone say you couldnt have them to enjoy responsibly:2cents:

Just like Cigs, there banning pits in certain cities.. Sounds equal to me I guess. I know Id rather die from cancer though than getting my throat ripped out by a "pet".
