about three months ago i bought a gallon of byrons gen2 33%. i used a little bit of it and havent touched it since. is it still good?

As long as it has been in a cool dry place. Exetreme heat and cold kill the fuel. Sunlight is a big no-no as well. 3 month old fuel should be fine if kept inside the house.

The killer of nitro fuel is humidity. Extreme temperature changes increase the likelihood that water will get pulled into the fuel container and foul it. Unopened gallons with actual foil seals (torco, some other brands) are much more resistant to this but once you open a gallon, the cap seals aren't airtight so eventually you'll get water in there either way.

Unless you have a 100% humidity-free temperature controlled storage room :)

Actually sunlight is the biggest killer for nitro. Where and how it's stored will make the difference in shelf life. Tight cap inside the house in a closet is the best place.

I am in no way saying all old fuel will be good but I have 4+ year old gal of fuel I'm currently using in my trucks with no problems.

The first two gallons of this season (started in april) were two I bought back in October. I finished the second gallon in June. The first gallon had some used in October. I did keep them inside throughout the winter though.

So, 6 months with a non-sealed bottle (cap on) didn't cause an issue and 8 months with a sealed bottle for the first 6 and non-sealed for the last two ran fine for me.

Ya it should be fine I let mine sit all winter which in MI is about 5 monthes and mine is still good when I go and fire it up in the spring. But I have got a new gallon allready.
