I’m taking the blame because i didn’t check 🤦‍♂️

Does it matter which cell lead goes where in the balance plug? Obviously I know where the red one goes, but what about the others?

Spur ate the balance plug. Save it or chuck it?

I'd chuck it. But I can be paranoid.

Balancing is overrated anyway. 🤣

Whoa bro, you have some wicked pain killers. :p

Was my first thought, but I was just checking 😂

I don't know this answer but NICE JOB!!~
Make sure those wires don't cross! 😵
Oh they did 😂 i just had to rip it out of the gear. No idea how long it was like that, truck ran fine through the whole pack, didn’t notice until we put them up and went to storage the batteries. Son got all the trucks ready and put the battery in backwards on one, the balance plug was right at the gear.

I do 🤣

He needs RC 101 lessons: how to properly place in a battery and turn on a car. RC driving lessons 101: Learning how to not flip over.

I think it's a paid course. First fee is like 200 bucks. Sign up is free. 😊🤔🙃🤷🤣😜

I was going to ask how exactly this happened, but I see your answer. Having the balance plug dangling around spur gear is always risky. Sometimes got get creative on how/where to secure the balance plug and lead. My 4S and 6S platforms all have the battery pack oriented with the balance lead towards the rear, I kind of intertwine the balance lead between the main +/- leads. And why I also like balance plug protective cases. The cases make the balance plugs larger... which in turn makes it harder for them to slip out of my intertwining securing method.

As far as figuring out which wires are what, I got nothing. I'd just use this as a teachable moment to self and others involved.

I try to zip up the wires under the velcro hold down straps. It seems to work well enough.

Interesting question. Not being much of an electronics guy, I am curious to know what would happen if you just wire it up to a new connector and see how it goes. But I wouldn't try that on a charger I cared about. Ultimately, I'd pitch it, or open it up and find out the order of the wires if I were going to save it. Looks like it'll make a good practice target 😉

I could be wrong but, I suspect we'll see more and more inboard connector 4S packs like shown below...

I know I would have bought something like what is shown above, but a few years ago... they didn't exist. Also, got to keep in mind what 5mm bullets are going to be used with such a case design. They sure don't seem to have enough room to use the popular low profile bullets with grips.

That too in some instances. All depends on what you got to work with.

I am as well, and just crazy enough to try it 🤣
Toss a new plug on it, and ride. Your charger doesn’t care what cell is what. 🍻🤘

Was kinda my thought as well, as far as I understand it they are just wired to each individual cell right?

Will update when I get some connector shells and terminals 😁

Ok... just PLEASE film the 1st charge???
Just so we ALL find out what happens when you... 🤣

Yeah, it was easily avoidable on this one if the battery was just flipped the other way. And yeah it’s my fault for not doubling checking, but we live and learn!
