2 used hitec 645Mg's i was planning on using for my steering servos in my slayeREVO conversion, they were included in a roller i picked up for parts to do the conversion. Noisier than hell in the truck so i pulled them to see if it might have been something off in the truck but they are just as bad with no load on them. What could be causing this. I find it weird that it is both doing this even when hooked up individually. Could this be related to anything else? I'm running Spektrum DX3 TX and a sr3000 RX. Rx battery is new and fully charged. Not sure what else could cause this other than 2 pooched servos.

I would agree with that but this is even out of the truck, it didn't get any better with no load to effect the setup. More than likely these are toast?

Could be. I have a hard time trusting electronics that act goofy but on an old basher I'd run'em until they crap out completely,on that nice rig I'd probably not use them.

Take the horns off them and see if they still do it. Maybe the bolts your using are too long or the horn skirt is too long and is rubbing on the servo case enough to make them bind a little. So the humming you hear is them trying to find center, but dealing with friction.

I run a DX3.0 with Hitec 985MG's and they don't buzz like that when centering. I use them for t/b on all my rigs and for steering on my slayer. They are like yours and are not digital, but they are coreless (whatever that means).
