ya no the little peices of plastic that go in the holes of the spur gear for the slipper slutch. do i really need the mine are worn out and i can't get to the hobby shop for a while and would like to run my truck tomorow.

i'm not sure but my hobby shop told me they we're important so i would wait on driving i know it's hard but wait and get them

I think you are talking about the friction pads that the slipper clutch grabs. Without them you will probably either melt your spur gear if it's slipping too much or break something inside the tranny from having them too tight. You can always try it and see what blows up first, but I prefer not to jimmy rig my stuff. I wouldn't run my rig without them for 10 seconds.

thanks charlie. yea friction pads that the word. i think I'm gonna try it without themand suffer the consiquence of a 4$ spur gear if it doesn't work out. . hopefully my tranny doesn't mess up though

it might not move and if it duz its gonna be slow the clutches or pressure plats need somthing to grab uthier then plastic.

you even might mess with the motor with out friction pags your perty much running your truck with out a load witch is a no no

It will not work without them. You must have the pegs in there. Also, from the factory the maxx comes with only 6 friction pegs, one in every other hole, when you install the new pegs use all 12, put one in every hole. But dont even bother trying to run without them.

i dont get it how is that without a load. ill basicallly lock it up between slipper and trasmission

Yup, friction pegs. Probably came with 6 and you can upgrade to 12. You need them.

Edit: Boy, that's a first. all 3 of the last posts at the same time.

yhea man, got to have them.Like stated before 12 is alot better than 6.But do what you want with your rig.

I've decided to waite till i can get them
i think i might put my truck away for a while because all the snow is melting and everything is slush so i will definately get them and not wreck my truck

I think you made a VERY wise decision. Glad to hear you were thinking with your head. If you don't use your head, you might as well have two butts.
