RC Driving Style
Hello I am working on taking my engine apart and was wondering what the tiny red spots are inside my engine. Is it from dirt?

Clearly it was a tiny gnome with a red Sharpie ;)

In all seriousness, we're not gonna be able to tell you without pics.
 
Begining stages of a rusty crank. ...top of piston looks good,...if the engine still has good pinch and bearings are smooth and tight I wouldnt mess with it any further yet, just maintain it with a proper aro
 
If you don't run all of the fuel out of the lines, fuel out of the tank or use after run oil, corrosion is inevitable. Some may argue this point but I've got 10+ year old engines that don't have any corrosion and I do all of the above.
